About
Alan is a proud Yorkshireman who was born and raised in Doncaster.
His ability as a creative writer was totally missed by his teacher, who once wrongly punished him. His crime was at the age of 10, he wrote a beautiful poem about the harvest for homework, which she wrongly thought had been copied from a book!
Alan, however, had been having numerous dyslexia and dysnomia problems, which have continued throughout his life. He has however, learned to overcome these annoyances, and gone on to lead a very successful career, including writing and self-publishing four fantastic, mystical and action packed "Family Reading" novels, suitable for all young-at-heart family members from 10 to 100.

Hi! Thank you for taking the time to have a look through my web pages. I am sure you will find them both interesting and entertaining.
Substitute "Pembrokeshire" for the fictitious "Castershire County" in my stories and you will find that all but a couple of the locations actually exist, including the beautiful beach of Freshwater West which is shown at the top of the page. It’s the beach my wife Sylvia calls hers, as she spent much of her childhood living virtually a stones throw away from it.
The first story, ‘The Twins Destiny Begins’, gradually appeared in my brain as though by magic, and the other three exciting, action packed and mystical sequential stories followed.

‘THE TWINS DESTINY BEGINS’
Book No1 - is a captivating and exciting supernaturally peppered action packed mystical adventure. Some would say a si-fi novel. It is a story set in modern times and suitable for all ‘Young at Heart’ family members aged between 10 & 100.
Twins, a brother and sister, are born on the night of the Summer Solstice, not knowing until their 15th Birthday that their destiny had been mythologically planned for them centuries ago. They were to become the ‘Terrestrial Twins’.
In an exciting and magically active midnight ceremony, they are blessed with awesome mind blowing superhuman abilities. They then, with the help of Merlin and others, including their parents who own a martial arts studio, become capable of fighting Entities from the ‘Other World’. Evil beings guided by King Offalmire, the Master of Evil, who is attempting to steal the ‘Thirteen Treasures of Britain’.

Gareth Dey, Arthur and Gwen’s father also becomes more involved as the mystery unfolds. Merlin isn’t far away either, and both families encounter and cope with a number of devilishly unpleasant experiences created for them by the inhumanly evil, demonic driven, Queen Odious and her warped minded daughter Sibylmire.

‘NEUTRALIZING THE FIENDS’
Book No4 - The last book in the series is even more intriguing than the first three.
To make full use of their phenomenal abilities, David and Mary, having been prompted by Merlin, make the important decision to team-up with their new father-in-law Gareth Dey, and become secret agents working for the special and rather secretive UMO department, the Unusual & Mysterious Occurrences Unit.
The plots are a little more complex than in the first three stories, giving readers imaginations even more to contemplate and enjoy.
Many readers are asking when will they be able to enjoy the stories on TV or at the cinema, and are also asking for a 5th story, but I am reluctant to self-publish another one.

Brillfanmagical
I was both surprised and please when two of my lady readers who live almost 4,000 miles apart; Elizabeth in Iowa and Rachael in Northern Ireland, both used the special word "Brillfanmagical to describe my novels, this word being a creative of one of the twins, David, in the series.

I now plan to do all I can to have my first story ‘The Twins Destiny Begins’ become a TV series or a film.
I know it’s a big task, but I have been asked by so many of my readers if it can happen, because it is a story which is stitched-on to become a small or large screen favourite, and I’m certainly not going to argue.
Also, as I will be 83 in October, I would like to still be around if a film company or publishing house can step up to help.

If the characters in my books, and a number of my readers can use "Brillfanmagical" to describe the fantastic quality of various things, then it's got to be alright for me to use it to describe the wonderful quality of my new web pages.
I am really chuffed that my vision has been captured in so many ways, including how the artwork and images link to the action excerpts from "The Twins Destiny Begins". I thank my teenage Grandson Jonathan for his great idea of the Magic Book.
